"The seed of a tree that’s been placed in the earth contains the tree in potential. No one could tell from it where the roots and stem are, let alone the leaves, flowers and fruit, and yet they will soon all see the light of day.
The seed is under the influence of the Archangel Gabriel, who condenses and solidifies elements. It is placed in the ground during the darkest, coldest time of the year, and Gabriel transmits memory to it, in the form of hereditary genes, which maintain its characteristics from one generation to another. He puts all the plant’s specific qualities and virtues into the seed and condenses them into this minuscule mass, which contains all that it will potentially become. And he does the same thing with the semen of animals and humans. The specific characteristics of each generation are preserved in its chromosomes. The memory is not lost."Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
