Opposing states - they are in continuous succession; be vigilant and watch yourself
"Everywhere, in all areas of life, opposites are in constant alternation. Even within ourselves there is a continuous succession of opposing states: sleeping and waking, work and rest, health and illness, weakness and strength, sadness and joy. All these different states and conflicting energies are necessary. We must simply be alert and watch ourselves, knowing that after joy comes sorrow, and after hope, discouragement, and vice versa.
Have you experienced a moment of great joy? Then you should expect to be faced with something unpleasant, caused either by external events, by the people around you, or even by yourself if you do not know how to sustain this state of joy. Yes, you must be prepared for this, because if you are careless you will be caught off guard. Do not be lulled to sleep after moments of great happiness. Remain vigilant, for the other side is there waiting to manifest itself, and if you are taken by surprise you could lose all the benefits you have gained. This is a law. Everything is connected, and a movement in one area triggers another movement in the opposing area."Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
