Thought - put it in first place, before feelings
"Thought must always come first and must preside over everything; the rest – feelings and desires – must take second place. Suppose you put feeling first and thought afterwards: you will give in to your impulses and inclinations, without reasoning or reflecting. Well, this would lessen the value of your activities and might even land you in trouble.
This does not mean that you should suppress all feeling – no, you would be depriving yourself of the immense wealth contained in matter, which needs to be elaborated by thought.
