"Does God really love us? Even the faithful often ask themselves this question. And they will receive a reply only when they themselves begin to love God. God does not need our love, but we need to love Him. If the great masters of all religions have taught human beings to love God, it is because they knew of a magical law which corresponds in the spiritual realm to that which we see every day in the physical realm. For example, you throw a ball against a wall: the wall sends it back to you. In the mountains, you call out words to a rock face: their echo will return to you. In the same way, when you send your love to God, it comes back to you amplified from every point in the universe, because God is present throughout the universe. God does not need us, but we need Him, and it is only with our love that we can attract His love in return." Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
