"Do you wish to attract the attention and benevolence of the luminous entities and the forces of nature? Then you must be rich. The creatures of the divine world love and respect only those who are wealthy, that is to say those who already possess spiritual riches, and they reserve their gifts for them. As for the poor, not only do they receive nothing, but in the end they quickly lose the little they possess. In France you have a proverb which says: 'Lend only to the rich', and because people have never really understood the meaning or origins of this truth, they find it cruel and unfair. Why give to the person who already has and allow the others to fall into still greater misery? Well no, it is completely fair: heaven gives its blessings only to those who have already worked to acquire spiritual wealth, whereas those who have done nothing to increase their riches eventually lose the little they had."
