Blessing - of food before a meal
"The way people eat says a lot about how evolved they are. If they do not respect the food that daily gives them life, who will they respect? The food they take in is already blessed by the Creator, and the fact that it gives them life is precisely the greatest proof that it is blessed. God is in the food in the form of life, so it does not need to be blessed by humans to receive life.
You will say, ‘But what is the point then of the words of blessing people traditionally say before meals?’ A blessing is a kind of magic ritual – each word spoken contains vibrations that have the power to act on matter. The words of blessing prepare the food to be in harmony with those who are about to eat it: they create a connection and adaptation in their subtle bodies, so that they are already more receptive to all the treasures of divine life contained in the food."Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
