"The day humans learn to weigh life’s small contradictions against all the good that fate has generously dealt them, they will feel nothing but gratitude. Until then they will continue to torment themselves, comparing the so-called ‘little’ they possess with everything that those they see as more privileged possess. Well, these comparisons are invidious.
If you must make comparisons between yourself and others, why not see all the advantages you have, when so many human beings in the world have to suffer persecution, wars, epidemics and famine?
Ingratitude and constant discontentment are signs of a lack of intelligence. Why do so many people see only reasons for unhappiness, wherever they look, instead of realizing that heaven showers them with blessings?"Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
