"The day you realize you already have everything you need, you will discover how rich you are. Why don’t you drill a few holes? You’ll strike oil. Why don’t you dig deep into your earth? You’ll discover water there or precious stones. But you wait and do nothing; you are like beggars pestering passers-by: you are always bothering the Lord and his angels.
It is true, the most precious things that God has given us are hidden deep within us; we do not see them. Why not? Because he is a very wise father: if he spread all these riches out for human beings to see, they would make no effort; they would be content to simply take. And as they would not know the worth of these riches, what use would they make of them? Whereas, since they are forced to make great efforts to discover them, they will know how to appreciate them and use them in the cause of good."Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
