Inner world, our - more important for us than the outer world
"Your daily life is made up of exchanges with the outer world, but you should be more concerned with your inner world, because you have to deal with that all the time. You are not always watching, listening, touching or tasting something outside of you, but you are always with yourself, with your thoughts, your feelings and your desires – these never stop. It is just a question of knowing what you must do with them.
As long as the outside world is the main focus of your attention and your expectations, you will be disappointed. Maybe, for a time, you will be able to imagine you have hold of something, but after a while you will be forced to admit that you have nothing anymore – everything has left you. Are you looking for happiness, for love, for meaning in your life? You must look for them first and foremost in yourself."Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
